Myths & Magic Thank You Unicorn

Today's project is a fun and super easy thank you card. I made this quick card to thank a co-worker/friend of my moms named Stacy. She recently returned from a trip to Universal Studios, Florida and brought back two of the "Starbucks City Mugs" as a surprise gift for me. Apparently my mom shared with her that I collect these mugs. I thought it was so thoughtful of her to think of me during her travels!

Aren't the mugs awesome?! They both have a sunny yellow inside. I absolutely love the pink on the Florida mug. I just had to make Stacy a handmade thank you card as a token of my appreciation for her thoughtfulness. My mom shared with me she loves unicorns, so I knew the Myths & Magic Designer Paper would be perfect for the card. I don't yet have the stamp set but I think it turned out just fine using a thank you sentiment from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set.

Project Measurements
Bermuda Bay card base 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25"
Silver Foil layer 4" x 5.25"
Designer Paper layer 3.75" x 5"
Banner piece was scrap left from cutting down the 6x6 piece of designer paper

Friday Night Fun

Hello everyone, happy Monday! I hope you each had a wonderful weekend. Instead of a project, I thought I would share a little fun from my weekend with you. Q and I went to the Houston Rodeo on Friday night. We were super excited about it for two reasons, we hadn't been to the rodeo in several years and we recently started making an effort to go on a date each week. This is week 3 of "date nights". After being together for 11 years, it's so much fun to be "dating" each other all over again. I'm loving every minute of it! :)

We stopped at the carnival for a bite to eat...well, Q was able to eat but since I don't eat meat, choices were limited (ended up with a plate of fried zucchini). We rode the lift across the carnival to get to the entrance of the stadium. I'm so glad we did! It was so peaceful being up so high in the air, floating over all the lights and activity beneath us. It was such a simple thing but was one of the highlights of the evening for me. We ended up riding it back to exit the stadium at the end of the night.

We mainly went to the rodeo to see the musical guest (Leon Bridges) but we arrived early enough to see some of the other events. The barrel racing was by far my favorite (wish I had taken a picture). I was practically sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time...even had me considering taking up horseback riding and becoming a cowgirl, lol! The concert was pretty fantastic. This was our first time to see Leon Bridges but we really connected with his soulful sound.

Took one final picture before heading home...

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll have a new project for you all tomorrow so I'll see you back here then!
