Happy Monday! I have two clean and simple cards for you today. I created these cards for my teams theme challenge a couple of weeks ago. I hardly ever make baby cards so it was nice to create a pair of them. I decided to get some use out of some retiring colors for these cards.
I used the retiring Pop of Paradise stamp set for all of the stamping. I really like the calm yet non-traditional tropical feel of the cards. It's so much fun to think outside of the box with your stamps!

card base 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25"
Whisper White layers 3.75" x 5" (bottom) 3.25" x 4.5" (top)
I stamped a sentiment on the inside of each card using the Special Celebrations stamp set.
Measurements: card base 4.25" x 11" scored at 5.5" black layer 3.2" x 4.25" designer paper layer 3" x 4"

I designed this card for my team's summer theme challenge this week. It's rare that I envision a project and it actually turn out the way I planned but that's exactly what happened with this card. It came out just as I saw it in my mind. I'm really diggin' this color combination as well...I'll definitely try these colors together on another project. Video tutorial below.
Today's project is absolutely gorgeous and makes me wish I was at the beach! I combined the Pop of Paradise stamp set with Botanical Blooms and what a gorgeous duo they make! The inspiration for this card began with my team color challenge this week:

I love a good WOW card that's easy to make! This card has so much detail but comes together quite quickly. The copper embossing really makes this card stand out!
Mint Macaron card base 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25"
Mint Macaron layer 4" x 5.25"
Moroccan designer layer 2" x 5"
Whisper White layer 3" x 3"
The leaves were stamped full strength in Mint Macaron on Mint Macaron cardstock to create a tone-on-tone look. For the Whisper White layer the leaf images was stamped off a few times and stamped full strength on top for a nice layered effect.
The splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set was embossed with copper on both the card and the envelope. How cool is that!!
A loop of copper thread behind the sentiment and a tiny basic black bow finish off this gorgeous card. Love it!
I love the color palette of today's project! I used smoky slate, dapper denim (NEW In-Color), and pool party. These colors were inspired by a color challenge on my team's Stampin' Up! board. I'm lovin' the new Pop of Paradise stamp set! I keep coming up with reasons to use this set...maybe it's the tropical feel...makes me wish I was at the beach!

Project Supplies
Steps to Create
1. Cut the whisper white card base at 4.25" by 11" and score at 5.5".
2. Stamp the flamingo on whisper white card stock using Flirty Flamingo ink and the Pop of Paradise stamp set.
3. Cut out the flamingo image using the Lots of Labels Framelits. Using basic black card stock cut a slightly larger label. Adhere the flamingo label to the basic black label.
4. Cut a 1.25" by 4" strip of vellum. Stamp the "A Very Special Day" sentiment in basic black. Use your heat tool to dry the ink.
5. Cut a 3" by 5" black/white striped piece of background paper. Wrap/adhere the vellum strip to the striped piece. Adhere the background paper to the left of the card base.
6. Adhere the layered flamingo image to the card.
7. Use the big shot and the Botanical Builders Framelits to cut 2 basic black flowers, 1 melon mambo flower, and 2 emerald envy leaves. Stamp the emerald envy leaves using the Botanical Blooms stamp set. Adhere the flowers and leaves above the flamingo image.
9. Add some bling to the card using the Jewel Basic Rhinestones.
10. Finish up this project by decorating your envelope using the Botanical Blooms stamp set.
