Stampin' Up! Saturday- Celebrate Today Layered Flower Card

Hey there!

I had a super fun Saturday yesterday and didn't get the chance to post this tutorial...so here it is! I absolutely LOVE this project. I used the flower medallion punch and the botanical builder framelits to create the layered flower. The flower literally jumps off the card! It's SO beautiful! I would probably eliminate some of the dimension if I were mailing this card but I'm not so I'm leaving it, lol.

I hope you enjoy today's tutorial! You can order supplies below and also find the measurements to re-create this project.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Stampin' Up! Saturday: Emboss Resist Technique- Dream Big Card

Hello Everyone!

Today's project features the emboss resist technique. I have never done this technique before but it allows you to give your embossed images a multi-layered appearance. I did a very simple version of this technique in my card project today. I added a wash of ink to my embossed image using Stampin' Up!'s aqua painters. It really made my image pop and I love the varying depth of the ink saturation.

Project Dimensions:
Whisper White Notecards (pre-cut) at 5" by 7" scored at 3.5"
DSP strips cut at 1" by 5" then hand torn on each end
Sentiment layer cut with 2.5" circle punch

Watch the VIDEO tutorial here:

EMBOSS RESIST

Directions:
1) Stamp and heat emboss your image. Allow image to cool.
2) Apply ink directly to the paper (over and around the embossed image) using a sponge, brayer, or aqua painters.
3) Wipe the embossed image with a tissue to remove the excess ink.
