Ok...so, I'm loving the See a Silhouette Designer Paper! I'm telling you, if you don't have this yet, you should get it! It is so vibrant! I used the watercolor side of one of the designs for this sympathy card. I think the bold color has such an uplifting feel.

Basic Black layer 4" x 5.25"

Designer Paper 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"

Whisper White 2" x 3.25 & 1" x 2"

Basic Black 2-1/8" x 3-3/8" & 1-1/8" x 2-1/8"

Helpful Tips:

• Stamp the silhouette and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• After adhere the stamped pieces of Whisper White to their Basic Black layer, adhere the sentiment to the side of the silhouette image using snail adhesive. Then add dimensionals to the back of both panels and adhere to the front of the card.

I'm having so much fun coming up with simple layouts to showcase the beautiful designer papers from the new catalog. For this card I paired the Beautiful You stamp set with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. I used the new Stitched Nested Dies for my sentiment panel.

Basic Black card base 4.25" x 11" scored at 5.5"

Petal Pink cardstock 4" x 5.25"

Designer Paper 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" & 1" x 3.5"

Helpful Tips:

• Die cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched Nested Dies. Ink the Woman/Umbrella image in Petal Pink ink, stamp off once, then stamp onto the die cut piece of Whisper White. Stamp the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. 
• Finish the card with a few gold Metallic Pearls.

Watercoloring: You're the Best

Happy Thursday! I have a beautiful watercolor project to share with you today. I absolutely love the Beautiful You stamp set! The image silhouettes are gorgeous and perfect for coloring!

Helpful Tips:

• Use Stazon Ink for your stamped images when watercoloring. This ink is permanent and will not run or bleed when water is added to your images.
• When watercoloring using regular Whisper White, be sure to use the least amount of water possible and quick, short strokes of the aqua painter. This will help you avoid peeling of the paper. PRO TIP- use Shimmery White Cardstock or Watercolor Paper instead.

Everything about this card makes me happy! I CASE'd this card from page 141 of the 2017-18 Annual Catalog. This card uses minimal supplies and manages to still be beautiful, happy, and bright. Love it! This would make a great congratulations card.

I was going through my stash of stamps and re-discovered Beautiful You! There's so much "life" in each image and every time I see it I think of a friend or family member it reminds me of. Truly a beautiful stamp set...

Helpful Tips:

• I used Stampin' Blends to color the beautiful dancing woman. I like to trace a few lines of the stamped image using the darkest shade and then blend using the lighter shade. This creates beautiful depth and shadowy effects when coloring. 
• Add a die cut piece of vellum behind the sentiment circle to create a soft break between the two die cut circles.

So, this card took me what felt like forever to create! I had to create a card using the colors from my team color challenge this week:

Pumpkin Pie

The addition of Pumpkin Pie in this combo was really blocking my creativity. I don't use orange,except for Peekaboo Peach...actually, I usually forget about orange unless it's fall. Anyhow, I finally came up with this idea and after lots of fuss this is the finished product! What do you think??
