Thank You Mini Ghirardelli Treat Holder

Hey there! I'm excited to share today's project! These cute little Ghirardelli treat holders are a remake of my Mini File Folder Treat Holders from 20217. These came at a special video request from my friend Lisa. I was super excited to have to think outside the box to recreate these. My original version was created using the envelope punch board, which we no longer sell, so I had to come up with another way to design them using current product. What do you think?

Merry Christmas

Hey there! I have the prettiest non-traditional Christmas card to share with you. This is actually not the card I set out to make when I sat down to create. October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives| Peaceful Christmas

Hey there! I'm so excited to bring you a couple of alternate ideas featuring the October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Peaceful Christmas. I thought this kit was just beautiful! I loved the gift box idea that was shown on the back of the instructions, so I started by re-creating a version of that box. I was a little nervous because I only had a few bits left in this kit which mean't I only had one chance to get it right. And...I did it! Lol! I really love how it turned out. What do you think??

Giftbox:

Take a piece of cardstock 5.5" x 8.5" and cut in half at 4.25". Score each piece at 1/2" on all four sides. Cut the horizontal edge of each corner square. Then, add a small second cut next to the first at a slight angle, with the angled cut coming into the corner square. (When complete, each cutout should look like a right triangle.) Fold along the scored lines, then use the kit’s adhesive dots to secure the tabs to one another. These completed pieces will be the top and bottom of the box! Bellyband from envelope 2" wide.

Card:

Card base from the kit 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25". Layer 3.75" x 5". Basic White .5" x 3.25". Inside panel 4" x 5.25".

Completed measurements of the box are 3.25" x 4.5"

Malakai's First Halloween

Malakai had a such a fun Halloween weekend. It started on Friday with a trip to a quiet little park about 20 minutes from our house. There were a few other kids when we arrived. They were enjoying the large playgroup equipment. We set up our blanket and toys just in front of all the excitement. Malakai enjoyed watching the big kids play. It was nice and breezy out so he even got to see fall leaves blowing all around us (he even put a crispy one in his mouth 😉).

On Saturday, he put on his cute little Koala costume, took some adorable photos, then headed to his friend Penelope's house for some fun! He and Penelope played with toys for a bit then we went for a stroller walk to check out the nearby "Boo Bash" in one of the neighborhood parks. There wasn't much "boo" or "bash" going on when we arrived but there were lots of other kids in costume so we stayed for a few minutes to relax and watch before heading back to Penelope's house to play a bite more.

On Sunday, Malakai transformed into Buzz Lightyear for the day! He seemed to really enjoy this costume and boy did he look so dang cute! He zoomed (crawled) all around his room playing with his toys. We also read "Where the Wild Things Are". Then, Sunday evening, we headed back to Penelope's house for another play date. He had a blast! Penelope had a fun red slide in the living room and he got to try sliding for the first time. He was so so excited! His little smile and giggle made my heart so happy.

It was a fun filled weekend and we hope yours was too!
